Introduction
My name is Kim Good, I been working as an Exceptional Children's Teacher's Assistant / Job coach for 19 years. After 19 years, I decided to make a career change. I graduated from ECU in 2019 with a Masters in Library Informational Science (MLIS) degree. Prior to graduation, the Media Coordinators' roles in my district and surrounding areas were gradually changing towards Digitally Learning Media Coordinator requiring a special endorsement in computer education. I decided to continue my education while everything was still fresh on my mind (Lol..) This is my last semester!!! I'm looking forward to seeking a new career in the Media/Technology department. My learning goals in this course are to learn how to develop lessons based on inquiry and problem-based learning strategies and plan PD's to integrate technology that supports 21st Century "global" teachers and learners. I have NO technology integration experiences other than the ones delivered from courses taking in the program.
Questions/ Concerns:
I would like to learn how technology integration could be used with students with Intellectual Disabilities in a 9th-12th setting. If I obtain a Media position I would like to be able to meet the needs of patrons with Intellectual Disabilities.
